WELCOME TO THE NEW NIDUM WEBSITE !!!
It’s been one month since the start of the new website, and progress has been slow. The fat controller has been doing a fine job of keeping the news and results updated, but I’ve been busy repelling boarders against some English invaders recently, so no time to add content.
Having said that, I appear to have solved one of my major headaches, and found a way to display chess games from a pgn file on the site without losing the page outlines (which is what happens on almost every other website I’ve seen) So three cheers for me!
There are several pages I could add relatively simply and quickly, but I’m resisting doing that at the moment and instead using any free time I have to tackle some of the more head-scratching stuff.
Anyway, hope you all keep checking regularly, as things are improving, even if it doesn’t seem like it.

LATEST WELSH CHESS NEWS
1st July 2008 --- KOCup Finals Day
The KOCup Finals Day was held at Briton Ferry Constitutional Club on Sunday, June 29th, with these results from six finals :
OPEN (Cup) Cardigan 2.5-1.5 Cardiff
OPEN (Plate) Caerphilly 2.5-1.5 Barry

Nidum’s IM Leighton Williams analysed the Open Cup final with 4 demonstration boards in the lounge below for almost 4 hours non-stop – a bravery award at the very least, especially to put up with Rudy van Kemenade – who spent more time analysing after the game than during it !!
LATEST WORLD CHESS NEWS
26th June 2008 --- Ranting GM
Nigel David Short has once again opened his “gob” and annoyed many British chess players – his last remark of getting rid of all the home nations from FIDE and allowing only a British team to enter the Olympiad just smacks of grandeur.
No wonder this snob, who originally came from Bolton, has no f****** friends.
Maybe the “Non-shaking of hands” was a bit of a giveaway in the Short-Cheparinov game earlier in 2008 – he doesn’t like you !!!!
Scrawling the website through anagrams of his name, I came up with the best two versions – Nigel Short ( ENGLISH ROT ) and Nigel David Short (THIS GONAD DRIVEL)
This just sums up how much of a w***** he really is !!
